The company’s founders
began offering technology transfer and business strategy services in Chile in
2002, following more than 25 years of combined experience in technology
commercialization, business and product development in multinational, academic
and entrepreneurial environments in the US and worldwide. Clients benefit from
our experience which has included:
- Creating and evaluating more than 150 technology
commercialization and business plans;
- Negotiating and managing technology transfer contracts
valued at more than US $15
million;
- Developing global patent strategy and managing patent
activities for more than 30
technologies, many of which resulted in patent filings in the USA, Chile and
other countries (additionally one of our founders has been awarded 4 US
patents);
- Founding and leading of one of the first university
technology licensing offices in Chile for Pontificia
Universidad Católica de Chile;
- Providing training in technology commercialization,
technology licensing, intellectual property protection and entrepreneurship
for more than 300
people in Chile;
- Creating Chile’s first innovation
competition for patentable innovations “ChileInventa” for DICTUC S.A., a
company of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in 2004.

CREATECH is a
leading support agent in the emerging sectors of innovation, intellectual
property protection and technology transfer in Chile,
a role that extends to the organization and sponsorship of a variety of
competitions, seminars and other activities. 2006 activities included the
organization of a seminar series “Createch Connect: Idea to Market” with the
participation of 5 universities and financial support from CONICYT and the
World Bank, and the sponsorship of competitions at the Universidad de Santiago
de Chile, the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa Maria and the Universidad
Austral de Chile.
